What is Wealth Management?

You may have heard the term “Wealth Management” tossed around, but what does it actually mean? Check out this week’s video feature with Chris Merchant, CFP®

I wanted to take a moment to explain what is Wealth Management?

Most of our clients might not initially call what they want Wealth Management, but if they’re looking for help addressing specific challenges beyond just managing their investments, we call that Wealth Management.

And in my opinion, the Three Pillars of Wealth Management are investment counseling combined with some type of advanced planning that’s intended to be maintained over a long-term relationship.

Firms of the past were often founded to offer advanced planning strategies just to ultra-high net worth individuals. And I think this is where a lot of today’s Wealth Management misconceptions come from.

Today’s modern Wealth Management firms offer expertise in a broad range of different types of advanced planning categories. And no two firms are the same.

At Hunt Country Wealth Management, our area of advanced planning is retirement income planning.
