Community Involvement

As one of Northern Virginia’s and the Shenandoah Valley’s financial services firms, Hunt Country Wealth Management has a commitment to improving and sustaining our local community. HCWM is proud to support organizations working to strengthen the ties within our community, especially those who assist children who have been touched by poverty.

Through the efforts of our team and wonderful clientele we share our success within the community by giving back through the workings of The Winchester Rotary Club (with a focus on Children & Family, Health & Human Services, Culture & Arts, Civic Progress, Education, Environment & Preservation), the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program and various Humane Society associations, including HART_Homeless Animals Rescue Team in Loudoun County, VA.

Educating the community has been our ongoing goal. Our team is dedicated to making financial education a priority to all age groups within the community. We hope to educate individuals on money management, banking skills, checking and savings account skills and credit status workshops in the future.

Winchester, VA Rotary Club

Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders which provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations and helps build goodwill and peace in the world.

Since their founding in 1921, The Rotary Club of Winchester has been dedicated to doing good locally and in the world. As Winchester’s premier service organization, The Rotary Club of Winchester is comprised of some of the region’s most prominent community leaders–men and women with diverse backgrounds in business, professions, religions, civic and non-profit organizations. Their members actively strengthen the Winchester community through their service, fellowship and by example. Members gather at weekly meetings and other functions to fulfill our commitment to the Rotarian ideals of friendship, fellowship and service to others.

The Key Tenet of Rotary is Service.

Members ‘roll up their sleeves’ to make a difference. Whether its collecting for the Salvation Army, handing out dictionaries in our own community or packing food to send to Haiti, the Winchester Rotary Club’s impact can be felt near and far.

Toys for Tots

We are proud to serve as an Old Town Winchester collection site for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program (November- December). With the generous help of our clients, family, friends and community, we happily deliver these gifts to the distribution center before the holidays.

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children, to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign and to contribute to better communities in the future.

We hope to see you this holiday season! Learn more here.

From their website:

HART is a non-profit 501(c)(3) no-kill animal rescue/support group, incorporated in 1990, that takes in and rehomes abused and unwanted dogs and cats. HART works with local veterinarians, foster homes, kennels and trainers to provide temporary housing, medical care and, where appropriate, training for our animals until s/he is placed in a loving, carefully-screened new home. HART takes in older, sick, and injured animals, as well as the readily adoptable, and never takes just the pups and kittens, leaving mom behind. We seek to direct our resources where they are most needed and to alleviate or prevent suffering wherever we find it.

In carrying out our work, HART also helps people who require assistance relating to their pets due to failing health, financial reverses or other personal circumstances. To the extent possible, HART works with senior and indigent persons to enable these owners to keep their companion animals. HART also helps those who can no longer keep their pets by finding a responsible and loving new home for the animal. Finally, HART helps people who themselves rescue a dog or cat in distress but are unable to provide long-term care for him/her, by relieving the rescuer of the emotional burden of turning the animal over to a public shelter where it may well be put to death.
